Dr. Elyssa Elman is a board-certified family physician with a strong focus on preventative and metabolic health. Born and raised in Montreal, she completed both her undergraduate studies and medical degree at McGill University, followed by residency training at St. Mary’s Hospital. She founded her private practice in 2010 and later became a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Elman is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University and a co-founder of KixCare, a virtual pediatric healthcare service. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, women’s health, mental health, and lifestyle-based strategies to optimize long-term health. Outside the clinic, she is a wife and mother of two, an avid Peloton enthusiast, and enjoys sculpting.
